Athens (Ohio, United States) Schools Closed Again As Winter Weather Persists
By
That snow caused roads to once again become difficult and schools to close their doors - again.
For Athens City Schools, it was the 15th calamity day used this school year - far exceeding the possible nine school days that could be forthcoming through legislation being considered in Columbus.
Schools closed Monday morning in Athens County are:
Alexander, Athens, Federal-Hocking, Nelsonville-York and Trimble.
Oak-Hill Union and Wellston City Schools in Jackson County were also closed as well as Marietta City Schools in Washington County and Vinton County Schools.
