The National Weather Service is calling for 2-4 more inches of snow Tuesday for New York City and Boston, with 3-5 inches forecast for western Massachusetts and even more in some the Berkshires.

Parts of the Northeast have been blasted by up to a half dozen messy snow and ice events this year.

Early Tuesday, New York's LaGuardia Airport already was reporting some flight delays of more than an hour. The snow could still be falling during the evening commute in some areas.

The weather service says drivers should be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibility.
Some school districts said they'd close early Tuesday, including Worcester, Mass.
