The Hellenic Navy (HN) (Greek: Πολεμικό Ναυτικό, Polemikó Naftikó, abbreviated ΠΝ) is the naval force of Greece, part of the Greek Armed Forces. The modern Greek navy has its roots in the naval forces of various Aegean Islands, which fought in the Greek War of Independence. During the periods of monarchy (1833–1924 and 1936–1973) it was known as the Royal Navy (Βασιλικόν Ναυτικόν, Vasilikón Naftikón, abbreviated ΒΝ).The total displacement of all the navy's vessels is approximately 150,000 tons.The motto of the Hellenic Navy is "Μέγα το της Θαλάσσης Κράτος" from Thucydides' account of Pericles' oration on the eve of the Peloponnesian War. Διαθέσιμος για δωρεάν κατέβασμα είναι από το απόγευμα της Τρίτης η έκδοση 3.5 του Firefox, ανακοίνωσε το Ίδρυμα Mozilla που αναπτύσσει το ανοιχτό λογισμικό πλοήγησης στο Διαδίκτυο.

Η νέα έκδοση του προγράμματος ενσωματώνει μια ποικιλία βελτιώσεων, από τις οποίες ορισμένες είναι άμεσα ορατές στο χρήση και άλλες βρίσκονται κρυμμένες βαθιά κάτω από το «καπό». Το λογισμικό διατίθεται σε 70 γλώσσες, μεταξύ των οποίων και τα ελληνικά.

Μια από τις βασικότερες βελτιώσεις είναι το TraceMonkey, μια νέα μηχανή για την προβολή ιστοσελίδων που έχουν δημιουργηθεί με τη γλώσσα JavaScript, δημοφιλή στην ανάπτυξη εφαρμογών Web 2.0. Στην προβολή τέτοιων ιστοσελίδων, «ο Firefox 3.5 είναι πάνω από δύο φορές ταχύτερος από τον Firefox 3 και δέκα φορές ταχύτερος από τον Firefox 2» υποστηρίζει το Ίδρυμα Mozilla.

Πολλοί επίσης θα βρουν χρήσιμη τη λειτουργία απόρρητης πλοήγησης (private browsing), η οποία παρακάμπτει την καταγραφή και την τοπική αποθήκευση των προορισμών που επισκέπτεται ο χρήστης.

Η έκδοση 3.5 υποστηρίζει επίσης προδιαγραφές HTML 5.0 για την εύκολη ενσωμάτωση βίντεο σε ιστοσελίδες και τη λειτουργία διαδικτυακών υπηρεσιών σε κατάσταση offline.

Υποστηρίζει επίσης τεχνολογίες εντοπισμού για την εύρεση τοπικών επιχειρήσεων.

Σύμφωνα με στοιχεία της εταιρείας μετρήσεων Νet Applications, τα οποία δημοσιεύει το CNet, το μερίδιο του Firefox στην αγορά λογισμικού πλοήγησης έχει αυξηθεί στο 22,5%.

Ο Internet Explorer της Microsoft έχει συρρικνωθεί στο 65,5%, ενώ το Safari της Apple και το Chrome της Google βελτίωσαν την απήχησή τους με μερίδιο 8,4% και 1,8% αντίστοιχα.
