The Hellenic Navy (HN) (Greek: Πολεμικό Ναυτικό, Polemikó Naftikó, abbreviated ΠΝ) is the naval force of Greece, part of the Greek Armed Forces. The modern Greek navy has its roots in the naval forces of various Aegean Islands, which fought in the Greek War of Independence. During the periods of monarchy (1833–1924 and 1936–1973) it was known as the Royal Navy (Βασιλικόν Ναυτικόν, Vasilikón Naftikón, abbreviated ΒΝ).The total displacement of all the navy's vessels is approximately 150,000 tons.The motto of the Hellenic Navy is "Μέγα το της Θαλάσσης Κράτος" from Thucydides' account of Pericles' oration on the eve of the Peloponnesian War. Pericles' words are written across the top of the emblem. Συνεδριάζει τελικά η Πολιτική Γραμματεία του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ

Αύριο το απόγευμα συνεδριάζει τελικά η Πολιτική Γραμματεία του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ για την αποτίμηση του εκλογικού αποτελέσματος της 7ης Ιουνίου, αφού προηγηθεί το πρωί η συνεδρίαση της Πολιτικής Γραμματείας του ΣΥΝ.

Στόχος, σύμφωνα με πηγές που πρόσκεινται στην Κουμουνδούρου, είναι ο συγκερασμός των διαφορετικών απόψεων, μέσα από μία συλλογική διαδικασία και η αποσαφήνιση του πολιτικού στίγματος. Σύμφωνα με τις ίδιες πηγές οι ισορροπίες των εσωκομματικών τάσεων είναι ιδιαίτερα εύθραυστες, μετά τις ευρωεκλογές και την αποτυχία του κόμματος να αποτυπώσει στην κάλπη την προσδοκία που είχε δημιουργηθεί με αφορμή και τη δυναμική που κατέγραφαν οι δημοσκοπήσεις.

"Με πολιτικά κριτήρια και συλλογικές διαδικασίες μελετούμε τα αποτελέσματα των ευρωεκλογών", τόνισε ο νεοεκλεγείς ευρωβουλευτής Νίκος Χουντής, ενώ ο κοινοβουλευτικός εκπρόσωπος του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, Παναγιώτης Λαφαζάνης σημείωσε με έμφαση ότι "η μάχη δεν τελείωσε, ο αγώνας συνεχίζεται".

Στη συνεδρίαση της Π. Γ του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ έχει κληθεί να συμμετάσχει και ο μέχρι πρότινος ευρωβουλευτής του κόμματος Δημήτρης Παπαδημούλης, ο οποίος, μετά την απόφαση να βρεθεί τρίτος στο ευρωψηφοδέλτιο - πίσω από τον Ν. Χουντή και την Ελ. Σωτηρίου- με βάση τους εσωκκοματικούς συσχετισμούς των ανανεωτικών και προεδρικών (του Αριστερού Ρεύματος) είχε εκτιμήσει ότι "το ταμείο θα γίνει μετά τις ευρωεκλογές".
