(CNN) -- An Argentine pilot accused of participating in "death flights" during the nation's "dirty war" in the 1970s and '80s has been extradited from Spain and will face charges Friday, the government's Judicial News Service reported.

Former Argentine Navy Lt. Julio Alberto Poch was arrested last year on charges that he was at the helm of aircraft from which 950 drugged and blindfolded prisoners were thrown alive during the 1976-83 right-wing dictatorship.

Poch, a commercial pilot for the Dutch airline Transavia.com, was arrested September 23 when his flight made a stopover in Valencia.

He was wanted on an international arrest warrant and was returned to Argentina on Thursday.

As many as 30,000 people disappeared or were held in secret jails and torture centers during the dictatorship.

The prisoners included students, labor leaders, intellectuals and leftists who had run foul of the dictatorship because of their political views. Most were dragged off the street or otherwise summarily arrested and held without trial in secret prisons where many were tortured.

Another pilot, former Navy Capt. Emir Sisul Hess, was also arrested last year on similar charges. Sisul Hess, accused in 56 deaths, was captured in the Argentine town of Bariloche, near the border with Chile.

Sisul Hess must remain in prison pending trial, authorities determined at a hearing in April. No date for the trial has been set.

Both men were arrested after they told colleagues or friends about their alleged involvement, Argentina's government-run Telam news agency said.

Assembly Line of Stars

The constellation Vulpecula is a veritable entire assembly line of newborn stars. The diffuse glow reveals the widespread cold reservoir of raw material that our Milky Way galaxy has in stock for building stars.

Large-scale turbulence from the giant colliding galactic flows causes this material to condense into the web of filaments seen in this image.

As the stellar material becomes colder and denser, gravitational forces take over and fragment these filaments into chains of stellar embryos that can finally collapse to form baby stars.

These scientific results from the European Space Agency's Herschel infrared space observatory are revealing previously hidden details of star formation.

New images show thousands of distant galaxies furiously building stars and beautiful star-forming clouds draped across the Milky Way.

One image captures an ‘impossible’ star in the act of formation. Presented on May 6, 2010, during a major scientific symposium held at ESA, the results challenge old ideas of star birth, and open new roads for future research.

Herschel’s observation of the star-forming cloud RCW 120 also revealed an embryonic star which may become one of the biggest and brightest stars in our galaxy within the next few hundred thousand years.

The star already contains eight to ten times the mass of our sun and is still surrounded by an additional 2,000 solar masses of gas and dust from which it can feed.

Τι κρύβεται πίσω από τη σύγκλιση του spread ομολόγων
Ομως, η πιο εντυπωσιακή αποτύπωση της επενδυτικής ευφορίας βρίσκεται στη συρρίκνωση των επιτοκιακών spread.
Είναι χαρακτηριστικό ότι το spread που χωρίζει την απόδοση του ελληνικού 10ετούς ομολόγου αναφοράς από το αντίστοιχο γερμανικό μειώθηκε στις 106 μονάδες βάσης αυτή την εβδομάδα, πριν ξαναπάρει την ανιούσα προς τις 112 μονάδες. Σημειώνεται ότι μια ποσοστιαία μονάδα ισούται με 100 μονάδες βάσης.

Mε μια συντονισμένη προσπάθεια ο υπουργός Oικονομικών Γ. Παπακωνσταντίνου και ο διοικητής της Tραπέζης της Ελλάδος Γ. Προβόπουλος επιχείρησαν χθες να αναχαιτίσουν τις πιέσεις που ασκούνται από τις διεθνείς αγορές στην ελληνική οικονομία.
Είναι χαρακτηριστικό ότι τα spreads των ελληνικών δεκαετών ομολόγων υποχώρησαν χθες στα επίπεδα των 197 μονάδων βάσης, ενώ το πρωί είχαν αναρριχηθεί σε υψηλά 7 μηνών και συγκεκριμένα στις 217 μ.β.

Απρίλιος 26, 2010 .-( spread ομολόγων 655 + μοναδες )

Spreads χρεοκοπίας στις 650 μ.β. - Έως 13% οι αποδόσεις - Πτώση 2,86% στο ΧΑ - Η αγορά ομολόγων κατέρρευσε. Οι τιμές αποσύρθηκαν στα ομόλογα από τον μηχανισμό της ΗΔΑΤ με στόχο να μην χαθεί ο έλεγχος. Στο μόνο ομόλογο που υπήρχε τιμή ήταν ο Μάιος 2010 η παλιά 10ετία. Στο Euro MTs στην ευρωπαική πλατφόρμα ομολόγων υπάρχουν τιμές διαμορφώνοντας το spread στις 655 μ.β. Προ της απόσυρσης των τιμών το spread στην Ελλάδα στην ΗΔΑΤ βρισκόταν στις 650 μονάδες βάσης που αποτελούν όχι μόνο νέο ρεκόρ αλλά χαρακτηρίζονται spreads χρεοκοπίας.
